Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock Review

5 out of 5 stars

Wow. That's really all I can say about Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock, just wow. What an amazing book. Heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. I could not put this down and read it in just a few hours. I think the only thing I can say is my favorite quote from the book.
"Keep weeding
Weed your mind
And man the great light
Even when no one is looking."
Wow

The Search Review

5 out of 5 stars

I loved this book. The main character Sarah was great - stubborn, smart, and determined. Monty the dog was completely lovable. The story had lots of twists and turns some which I did not see coming. The supporting characters were great and added a lot to the story. (I really want a Galen story now!) I would definitely recommend this book to fans of suspense and thrillers.

True Evil Review

4 out of 5 stars

True Evil is the first Greg Iles book I read. I liked it. There were lots of twists and turns and the story built to exciting finish. I was surprised to find some typos in the book including a name mix up (Ben instead of Jamie). That doesn't have any real bearing on the story but I didn't expect to find any typos. I guess they are in every book!
In all I would read more Greg Iles, and I recommend him to fans of suspense and thrillers.

Armed and Fabulous Review

3 out of 5 stars

Armed and Fabulous is a cute, fun, mystery. I probably would have loved it if I connected more with the main character. I found Lexi Graves to be a bit shallow and airheaded for someone who in the first few sentences declared herself to be smart. I wasn't as engaged in the story because the main character didn't really hook me in. Her motivations didn't ring true to me. That said I am sure many others would enjoy Armed and Fabulous.
In one other point her sister announces her pregnancy, has a shower, and goes to being "huge" all within the span of one week. Seriously! Doesn't that seem a little far-fetched?

Dirty Little Secrets Review

4 out of 5 stars

Dirty Little Secrets is a fun, quick mystery. JJ Graves is a mortician and medical examiner in a small Virginia town. Her sleepy little town is rocked by a series of murders and she finds herself in over her head trying to help the local police.
I love stories about Medical Examiners. I think it is so fascinating how they put the pieces together. JJ was a good character and the town of Bloody Mary was a great setting.
I found the story somewhat predictable, but then I read a lot of mysteries!
In all I would read more of the JJ Graves series.
